JC, Bob and Charles have it right. The winds are flowing terribly against the old PC stalwarts. Currently the market refuses to believe that these can reinvent themselves and win in a new market. What the market doesn't understand is that SUNW/ORCL haven't won in any new markets yet and their market is about to experience an assault they are unprepared for. But then, the market can't be faulted for taking the short term view especially since it has been burned recently by its internet mania which took a super long term view.
