Wipro Limited is now up on Schwab's ipo site but I can't get at the prospectus yet. However, I'm probably not too interested in "an India based provider of IT services globally. They provide high-end IT solutions to leading companies worldwide and have other profitable businesses in niche markets in India." This feels like a last minute offering that isn't being well received so they want to see if any retail investors will take the bait. Offering Type: IPO Offering Size: 2,750,000 American Depository shares (representing 2,750,000 shares of common stock) Use of Proceeds: The Company expects to use the net proceeds from the offering for general corporate purposes, including possible strategic investments, partnerships and acquisitions. Price: $63.860 (as of 9/15/00) Expected Date: The offering is expected to take place on or about 10/18/00.
