INTC is being treated like a company whose technology is on the decline and whose R&D pipeline has dried up...I suggest neither conclusion is correct. Craig Barrett , INTC's CEO, stated that the market's reaction to its warning regarding its "Euro" problems was way overdone. I expect earnings to be a bit better than the pessimists expect. Today's SSB comments are from an analyst coming late to the bashing party, perhaps even setting up some large SSB clients with some cheap pre-earning INTC shares. Sadly I am seeing more and more of the pump and dump and dump and pump coming from analysts, clearly working with the trading side of their firms setting up short term opportunities. I could go on a long time about all of the cases I have seen this in recently, but I do digress...I see very little downside in INTC now. INTC is not a dot.com. I'll pay the market cap of $240 bil just for INTC's R&D pipeline now.
