"Could it be?????" In a word, Bob, no.

The first of the enhancements, flexible partitioning, has nothing to do with software. They are talking about the ability to simultaneously read and write - a hardware function. Actually, I'm not sure why this is an "enhancement", because this feature already exists in Intel's Advanced+ Boot Block memory. I guess it's a "new feature" because it is being added to a product targeted to the wireless market, where this feature presumably didn't previously exist.

But, connection to EDIG - nada.

The next enhancement - which you highlighted - refers to the internal programming algorithm. They say they have a faster one. Again, this is implemented in hardware, not software.

Connection to EDIG - nada.

You are barking up the wrong tree with the "flash memory management" function of microOS. We've been down this road before, but to re-interate: EDIG has nothing of significance that is unique. The functionality they tout (equalizing block wear, for example, scattering blocks, etc.) is in WIDE use in the industry, and has been for years. The techniques are obvious, and not at all difficult to implement.
