RE: Funny thing about Transmeta, Intel targeted them more than they targeted AMD at MPF.

Actually it's pretty smart, AMD has no laptop cpu (other than k6-2) and transmeta does. Intel currently enjoys nearly 100% market share in laptops, all of AMD's entries run a little to hot. In the desktop market AMD's doing themselves in quite nicely without Intel's help. Change the name of Duron to Celeron and bring all the "undercutting the high end" rhetoric out for a dusting as AMD's ASP's fall further.

You could reword your Maybe that's just because they had something to throw at Transmeta, and not much to
throw at AMD
to ... Maybe Transmeta has a product to cause concern for Intel and AMD doesn't.
