I'm going to leave you with a few things to think about !

This will be my last post, for reasons I can not talk about. Someone else is going to take my place. His information will probably be more helpful than mine. You will know him when he appears. He will take chances I'm not willing to take ! I leave you with this :

There are a few things you might like to know : Jaz carts are shipping and the shortage
should be coverred soon. Certain retail channels will receive them before others !

The reported lack of zips in the stores is due to a considerable increase in demand, not a
production problem as some have speculated.

Prototypes of n-hand will be in the hands of interested OEM's next month. However, it
will most likely be 1998 before significant income flows in from mass consumer volume.

BTW, looking back at Dell's earnings yesterday, have any of you thought about the fact
that the zip is standard on Dell's new 266 MHz PII ? Check out the new Dell catalog. In
fact, if you want the fastest unit from Dell ( the majority do ) , you will get a zip. Also
take note of this fact. Dell does not " push " many upgrades but on page 17 of the Dell
catalog you will proudly see a picture and summary of the zip drive.

Want to know what Dell thinks about the zip drive ? Call their peripheral department
and ask them how well they sell, if they are honest with you , you better be seated when
you ask.

PS, there is a very good chance that Iomega is going to recover some or all of the cost
associated with the Jaz snafu.
