This sort of device can be easily made with a 6 gig USB hard drive instead of the Zip drive. I would rather have the 6 Gig USB drive because you could also use the 6 gigs to store other things than photos from your PC. If you used a 2.5 inch laptop hard drive, the unit could be even smaller in form than the Fotoshow.

With as cheap as har drives sell for nowadays, this configuration could sell for the $299 price point, assuming price competition from a couple of different makers.

But they would all need to have Industry Standard CompactFlash slots in them.
