We travel through the world in a time direction because of our consciouness.

Imagine if you will, a world without conscious creatures, a world like Earth a few million years ago. Did time exist in that world? I say of course it did! Consciousness is affected by the arrow of time, but has no control over it.

If I see a huge boulder on a hill, a balanced rock, I could reasonably say Some day that boulder will roll down, or the hill will wear away and it will be at the level of the plain. . I can't guarentee it though. The next generation may decide that would be a perfect rock to send into space. The future cannot be completely predicted, unless and only unless the past present and future are completely determined beforehand. Some probabilities are almost certain, but the only thing that is absolutely certain is that once something has happend, then it is a part of the past. It is the act of happening, being observed in the cosmic sense, that finally yanks the uncertainty out of the possibilities.
