And, if you read those posts from the "Last Mile" thread that I posted links to, there are no standards issues to delay them or force them to work around.

If they push hard (and I think they are) they could really make a market here. There is a BIG difference between 155Mbps to 1.25 Gbps and OC-768 or 40Gbps when they get that DWDM shipping next year. That should open up a host of new applications.

A thought occurred to me, about those cell towers. How about POWER towers? They go EVERYWHERE. Couldn't a carrier just secure rights to those and place OPXS devices on them every X towers? This would be a way of getting Internet to remote areas where there are no POPs and no fiber now - and also a way of entering to compete with other carriers. What do people think?

Does anyone else here think OPXS could be bigger than LMNE?
