Let's be honest. By any yardstick, Copland was a disaster. System 7 came out during the summer of 1991 and it won't be until the summer of 1997 that Mac OS 8, a big, but still relatively marginal improvement of the Mac OS has been released. That being said, Rhapsody appears to be on track and there is an entirely new management team running Apple. While there have been some minor disappointments along the way, the direction the company is moving has generally been good. The worst really is behind us.
