Earnings so far.: Novellus Systems (NVLS) 34 1/2 -6: Reports Q3 earnings of $0.62 a share, $0.01 better than the First Call consensus of $0.61, vs year-ago earnings of $0.18. Sales for the quarter were $359.1 million, up 10 percent from $326.0 million in the second quarter of 2000 and up 132 percent from the third quarter 1999 net sales of $154.9 million. Cobalt Networks (COBT) 56 5/16 +1 9/16: Reports Q3 loss of $0.01 a share, $0.05 better than the First Call consensus of ($0.06). LifeMinders.com (LFMN) 11 5/16 +2 1/16: Reports Q3 loss of $0.17 a share, $0.07 better than the First Call consensus of ($0.24). Elec.
