[October 16, 2000--HONG KONG] Forbes has named two Asian Internet firms to a list of the world's top small companies.

Hong Kong B2B e-commerce site Global Sources [Nasdaq:GSOL] and Korean e-commerce software provider E-Net Corp. were both presented as being part of "20 for 2001," essentially the leading ventures among the a complete ranking of 300.

Of Global Sources, Forbes said: "While most e-commerce companies are just getting started, Global Sources has been developing e-commerce on the Internet for five years. More than 4,000 companies advertise their wares on its Web site, which has received as many as 55 million hits a month." The magazine said it included E-Net because: "The company has a 35 percent share of the B2C e-commerce software market in Korea, as much as the combined market share of its next two competitors, Oracle and IBM." It also added "E-net has been profitable since its first full year of operations."

Korea's Daum Communication [OTC: DAUMF];
Philippines' Globe Telecom [GLTOF];
India's Infosys Technologies [Nasdaq:INFY];
China portals Netease.com [Nasdaq:NTES],
Sina.com [Nasdaq:SINA],
Sohu.com [Nasdaq:SOHU];
Korea's Serome Technology [SRMEF].

In July, Global Sources was named to Forbes' "Best of the Web: B2B" list, along with Alibaba.com.
