Is it possible that leadership is changing? The only chip makers that matter would be the suppliers to the optical networkers. How are they doing?

Paul,

that's primarily AMCC, PMCS, BRCM, TXCC, and VTSS. All five have held up very well and are still close to their yearly highs. Basically, XLNX and ALTR also belong into that group as 70% of their business is in networking/communications chips. Interestingly, their downgrades and subsequent 30% haircuts did not have the slightest impact on any of the networkers nor the communications chip makers mentioned above. Just goes to show you how schizophrenic this market is.
