Trying to call the top in a stock like JNPR is a challenge.

Sounds like you know how to play the game with your stops. But I have to question going short on the day of a new high.

Also, I do not have any solid information on when they will readjust the S&P 500 (does anybody?) and possibly add JNPR.

I was fortunate enough to buy ICGE a year ago at $17 (split adjusted) but I did not know when to sell it (it peaked at about 20 times the initial post-IPO trading price). In retrospect, the time to sell was when almost all of the major brokerages were covering the stock.

So that is one *major* criterion I will be using for JNPR.

Here is who is NOT covering JNPR. IMHO they have to start covering it soon, or else they really appear foolish:

AG Edwards
Banc of America
Bear Stearns
Deutsche Bank
DLJ
Edward Jones
JP Morgan
Merrill Lynch
Paine Webber
Pershing

I left out about ten smaller ones.

Granted, some of these are not the biggest brokerages and IBs. But they all cover CSCO.

Do you really want to be short while these folks are buying in?

Tom
