Ridiculous? You oughta take a look at the Comdex conference planner. More Linux/free software tracks than MS/proprietary tracks by a wide margin. And this is COMDEX! --- If there's a problem with the Linux development model, FreeBSD (actually the superior TCP/IP stack to both NT and Linux) is right there with a newly invigorated democracy. Free nix may not have a brand (like Sun Solaris -- also free now, btw except in large enterprise installations), but it's not going away. --- What you don't realise is that free software is where it all came from. One day, Bill Gates decided that everyone but him was a thief and for awhile he had the majority of people believing it. Not anymore. -JCJ
