...is trying to cram down towers into residential neighborhoods, much to the chagrin of the locals. Tastelessness, in the name of progress, isn't going down very well at the local level."

Ray- So you haven't seen tree version of a cell tower?

I wish I could send you the url of the one I saw in a hard copy of one of the many trade rags I get. I hope I run across it again. I'll try to scan it and put it on a linked web page for our amusement.

It was hilarious. I kid you not. A giant cell tower disguised to look like a tree. In the photo it was apparently installed in a residential back yard. Only problem was, it was the only tree that tall for miles and what a tree it is!<vbg> -MikeM(From Florida)

PS Found it! And I think it's online....well it's not as funny as the 8-1/2 x 11 hard copy but here it is: ospmag.com ...go down halfway down the page and see the Endangered Tower photo. Look carefully at the top of the "tree" and you'll see a man squatting in it looking like a bird. It looks worse in the hard copy photo and I'm sure a lot worse in person.
