Threei & Chris,

Can you share with us what type of preparation you do for the trading day? (If any?!) In addition to earnings and other news that move stocks I usually look at the previous days' top percentage gainers and decliners.
One of my dilemmas is it seems a lot of research is sometimes wasted because the stocks I have looked at the previous day do not have enough pace and/or volume the next morning to scalp. Since I do have a scanning program that shows premarket pace, volume and gaps; I usually end up getting the majority of my stocks to trade in the morning from that. I don't want to be a lazy trader but I also don't want to waste too much time. Here is another question, is a scalper better off doing less research the night b4 and concentrating more on premarket activity?
Any insight into your methods would be appreciated.

Alex
