P, We are going to find out soon enough about forward guidance: Tomorrow, Sprint (NYSE:FON), IBM (NYSE:IBM), and Intel (Nasdaq:INTC) report earnings. In addition, key telecom suppliers, like CMTN, also report earnings. At this point, there's enough tension and "wall of worry" in the market, for companies either to confirm the present fear or deny it. Investors are clearly bracing for the worst from MSFT.
To generate a nice sustainable rally, all that's needed is $28 crude, an easing bias from Greenspan, a somewhat lower dollar and Al Gore to get elected with a Republican Congress. Any more Christmas Presents for Wall Street? <ggg>
It was good that NASDAQ corrected a little bit of Friday's surge today. Wednesday is the key day, I think. |
