From the G and K thread, a sad and pitiful attempt to make contact from another hemisphere:

Gang!

Sorry I'm still not able to get online. Though the remote areas of New Zealand are stunningly beautiful and more enjoyable than we
could ever have hoped for, there is very little Internet access, especially at night which is the only time I'd be willing to go online. As
an example, this message is coming to you from a computer console that we insert coins in to remain online. Even so, the trackball
that is bolted to the console is missing the ball, causing us to manually manipulate the rollers either up/down or left/right.

All of the above adds up to two points: I hope all is going well in the thread and I doubt that I'll be able to enjoy it until about three
weeks from now. But be assured that I'm thinking of you.

Take care. Be well!

P. S. Has Frank developed a sense of humor during the time I've been away? :)

First of all, what is this "gang!" sh#t. I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm not a member of his "gang".

Second of all, he doesn't need to apologize. It's not as though anyone has actually missed him. In fact, it's been a relief not reading his nitpicky posts and musically snobbery.

Besides, who would be pathetic enough to find internet cafes and post to the list while on vacation?!
