Innuit- We talked about Java vs ICA EXTENSIVELY upstream. I thought it was a very interesting conversation and ultimately appears to be a problem that should not be taken lightly. Here's where it starts and lots of great posts follow it:

It was dropped, picked up and discussed. Dropped and picked up a third time I believe. And here is IMO one of the best posts regarding our very long discussions about the threat a Java model may pose to ICA:

The web-based model can do just about everything that Citrix can - without having WinFrame/MetaFrame.

Not to say the problems a Java/HTML model is the current crux of Citrix's problems. Factually speaking, I don't believe there has been any talk of the Java threat beyond what we find on this thread. In other words, I don't recall CTXS management ever mentioning Java as a problem to this day.

All the information about the Java/HTML threat is clearly posted upstream, both pros and cons. HTH. -MikeM(From Florida)
