The idea of a flat 6 months for the sector was indicated by Scott Kulicke 6-8 weeks ago. We've probably just been through the 'digestion' of that outlook; there's a reasonable likelihood we've begun to emerge from this chicken-little world. There were some analysts, as well as some individual investors, who foresaw this swoon. Many, including MSDW and the majority of SI participants, did not. MSDW's update, as with some current opinions on SI semi threads, are now predicting yesterday's news.
