Let's hope there is not a lawsuit. That means anger that lasts for years ala INTU. No one wins.

Here's the strategy I've seen used before.

1. Put all infringers on notice. All infringers' lawyers will have one or more reasons why the aren't really infringing.

2. Pick one infringer where CKFR has a limited business arrangement with ACH software such as Mellon/Princeton eCom, beat on them hard and extract a settlement. In the general case the settlement might either be a license or a switch to CKFR. But I'm not sure if a license is an option. How would CKFR get royalties on a MSFT patent license? So, maybe Mellon has to cease offering EBP or switch to CKFR.

3. Move to other bigger players and use the Mellon settlement as a model. If the bigger players go to court CKFR uses the Mellon settlement as an example to bolster their case.
