A hate crime example. One of my Indian friend and my junior at the college, walking home from a University is threatened by a bunch of white guys with racist words and ordered to stop. He runs and come home. Next day he comes home again taking a slight detour and at a different time. Unknown to him, he is followed. He is hit hard from the back. He falls down to the ground. He is hit on his face with sticks (or something similiar) and kicked on his face and stomach, all the while shouting racist remarks at him. The face was a mess. Lost few teeth. Had a broken jaw. Required many stitches. I hope I got my description of hate crime accross to you. You need more, I have worse examples. But this one is something that happened closest to me.
