Gottfried, the SOXX is now >50% down from it's high for the year. I guess we're stuck with the cyclicality of semiconductor stock prices for now, whether or not the business itself will be cyclic going forward. However, chip stocks probably got too high in March, now heading too low, AFAI am concerned. Bottom line to me is it looks like LTBH is not the way to play these stocks, especially the equips. My guess is that this is the way it will be until it's proven the sector just is not cyclical any more. And that probably takes at least 2 more "cycles" whether they happen or not! Either that, or until analysts like SSB JJ no longer are listened to. I commented on a good article in this post, part of which, IMO, might signal the beginning of the end of those parasites:
