It is very heartwarming to hear you are so very enthusiastic about the prospects of Hawkeye. I was very enthusiastic about Hawkeye's prospects since January 1996, but I must admit my patience was tested time and time ago by Hawkeye's repeated delays in releasing the airborne survey. In fact the delays had caused a good number of people to wonder whether Hawkeye had any worthwhile results to report. There were musings that because the magnetic anomalies lie. in a northwesterly to southeasterly band, from Avalon's property in the northwest to GMD's property in the southeast, well away from Hawkeye by a country mile or so, Hawkeye probably hasn't got the goods! and therefore it is anyone's best bet that AVL or GMD is a better speculative stock.

It is unfortunate that Bre-x, Golden Rule and Del Gratia have caused big price drops in a number of junior golds. But the flipside of that is we know that not too much gold has been found so far and therefore, juniors like Hawkeye will have a chance. Also from now on, the various companies will be more careful in reporting their drill results.

As you are very familiar with Hawkeye's property, I will am sure lots of folks (me included) will greatly appreciate your comments regarding my remarks above.
