Ted, maybe someone should inform Ms. Williams that Intel isn't worried about AMD, their big fear is Transmeta. At least according to yesterday's Intel employee troll of the day on the mod thread. Also according to Intel's MPF presentation, of course.

Lets say this....if Molly Williams does not know that there is not a price war between Intel and Transmeta, we might as well give it up.

In fact if she does not know that Transmeta is not a public company, then we are in deep sh*t.

I hope the techies on both threads see how wrongly the street sees the competition between AMD and Intel. They don't see the technical aspects of the competition; only a small chipmaker making battle with a big one.

And all the advertising in the world will not dent this perception....mainly because its the reality. Anything more subtle than that, like overall chip performance, is off the radar of the average non-techie observer.
