Do you know any gay people? If you do (which I think is unlikely) ask them how much they chose their situation. Did you "choose" girls? If you did, you might be bi or gay and haven't come to terms with it yet. Otherwise, I doubt it was a choice in the way people normally choose.

I don't see it as the same as, say, I like blue sox. This is the person you want to share the most intimate parts of yourself, emotional and physical. The hardware (and preference) is probably largely determined by hormonal factors in utero. Would you be willing to abort a fetus if it was going to be gay?
