There're so many things in life that SHOULD BE.... And yet, after 224 years of independance and about 40 years since the civil rights mayhem, minorities are still, patiently waiting for the US legislator "to fix it"! I mean, enough of your ifs and buts and should-be-things! Hate crime legislation may be the right measure to alleviate an otherwise unjustifiable status quo. Besides, think about it, TW, what's the alternative? The more radical cure to an unjust, prejudiced justice apparatus might be trials à la OJ Simpson for everybody --TEXAS INCLUDED!! LOL! Could you imagine a Texan trial with 9 blacks, three women and 2 Latinos as a Texan jury --and a Chinese judge on top of that??
