I once worked for a company in a polarized industry, with just two significant players. It almost always gets ugly. You would think that with just two, they could get along and both just decide on a gross margin and stick to it.

The fault for a price war lies with both companies. If either one refuses to lower prices, the other will eventually see the light and charge at or just under that price.

I would like to see these two companies start to think about their stockholders. It's illegal to fix prices, it's not illegal to be conservative with price cuts. They both may lose a few units, it will be more than made up for in GM.
