Did you read my post, or wasn't I clear? I said that Intel had HIGHER FIXED costs than AMD. When unit volume and prices decline, variable cost go down with the volume, not a big deal. But fixed cost (salaries, plant, etc)stay the same, and become a bigger percentage of revenue, which cuts net dramatically. Thats why AMD is probably in better shape in a cut throat price war, IMHO.

And I wish folks on this thread would stop assuming that when I post it is pro-Intel and anti-AMD, I try to be neutral and objective, but it's getting very difficult.
