Sonny ---The analysts and the lying has being going on since ABBY made her call back in March .
Two things :
1)The analysts are making some of these out right lies due to having to make a name for themselves since quite a few will be losing their jobs with the mergers that are happening
2) The firms ( houses ) have overdone their pessimism and are getting caught in the overdraft they have created . Plus some firms as you have stated are wanting to buy as cheap as we will let them . Lazlo was on CNBC this morning and said the semi downturn was the worst since 1974 and is way overdone ---if anyone has a three months outlook they will make money on theses stocks

Just to bring Greenspan effect into context :
Alcoa warn this qtr ---miss by six cents :
said it was broken down by the following effects to the bottom line :
1) .04 cents ---interest rates
2) .01 cents ----higher energy prices
3) .01 cents ----restructureing costs

BEST WISHES
BILL
PS Greenspan had better wake up ---by the way the gentleman name from PIMCO was Bill Gross
