you are right and I was wrong, CEGE is now in capital gains territory on its holdings of ABGX. The 6/30/00 10-Q still shows an accumulated deficit of $74MM, but that was when the ABGX stock was around 60.
(they've been treating the ABGX holdings as a short term investment and marking to market)
