I think having special rules about hate crimes signals this intention. And it clearly embraces crimes against ALL races.

Again, I ask you... of all the pending cases out there that people are calling "hate crimes", how many involve a minority being accused of committing a crime against a white out of hate?

Your legislation is no different than any other. If it is politically expeditious to emphasize highly charged cases of white on black, straight on gay, violence.. etc... then these case will receive the media coverage.

They will receive that coverage to the exclusion of black on white, gay on straight, crimes because hey... "those whities ain't oppressed peoples"

In return for your efforts you will create even more animosity amongst radical/reactionary white separatist/supremists..

And I would prefer that they receive as little political "ammunition" or media coverage as possible.

I had to deal with some Aryan Nation types a number of years ago... and I would love to hang most of them with the same rope I would hang Farrakhan and Sharpton by...

(rhetorically speaking, of course..:0)
