Tuesday, October 17, 2000 SSTI, ATML get patent news --3:53 pm - By Chris Kraeuter Silicon Storage Technology (SSTI: news, msgs) said a U.S. International Trade Commission reached a determination that certain SST products do not infringe on two Atmel (ATML: news, msgs) patents, but that certain SST products do infringe on one Atmel patent. According to an SST statement, the latter decision will be appealed. Also, the company said, regardless of the appeal decision, it is comfortable with current financial expectations. SST shares are down $2.81, or 13 percent, to $18.81. Atmel shares are down 69 cents, or 5.6 percent, to $11.63.
