Without jumping on the gang-bang wagon, George, I just wanted to express a thought or two.
I can kind of understand where you're coming from when you say that you're looking for a little light hearted give and take, and the opportunity to express or explore your own talents regarding writing with others on this thread.
But unfortunately, for the most part, we or I, to use as an example, do not know each other as well as we think we do or should. We cannot just jump into the fray and automatically expect others to know where we're coming from. I, many times, do not know if someone is just f**king with me or telling me to go get F'ED.
Its just like reality in a sense because one has to get to know another by going through all the baby step bull before the real in depth personalities can become comfortable with one another.
I made this mistake twice since being at SI. The first time the person gave me a second chance and even a third after an e-mail session(Mike T.) and the second time I have lost in the opportunity to engage the person conversationally because of past snipes. I am disheartened by the second because I actually find I like the persons persona and what the person writes most(but not all)of the time. Now, because of our short conversational history, I cannot even get a simple question answered. I don't hold anything against the person because I can understand pretty much why the person feels the way they do towards me, and quite frankly, do not blame them.
George, just give us a chance to get a chance to know you on an easier going scale. The pieces you've posted so far I pretty much like.
