im not a DSL expert, but after re-reading the news release, I propose the information is old news. LU and others already pre-announced that spending will slow as can't afford to keep up with the demand as money is more expensive.

I am not willing to go on record that CMTN will be fine. I am not as confident that DSL will be able to deliver as cable is really making in roads.

personally, i felt the press release last week was puffery as the whole market will be effected by the slowdown. there are too many indicators that suggest the bear is here. how long, your guess is as good as mine.
