I don't get it. Big Business spends 10-11 times what unions spend in political campaigns, this year being no exception.

Explain how this small amount of spending by unions (hardly extraordinary) is influencing so many people. Is it because the unions are so effective in getting out the message compared to Big Business? Or perhaps Bush is trailing in these heavy labor states because virtually every large labor organization in the country has endorsed Gore-Lieberman because of The Key Issues.

To reiterate: If total political spending by Big Business/organized labor equals 100 percent, Big Business spends 91 cents out of that dollar.

Sounds to me like Repub-controlled Big Business needs to do a better job in getting out its own message.
