Well, just remember Robert Livingston who was hounded out of the Speaker's job in the house when the impeachment hearings were getting started. There are FBI files on everyone - and you don't have to have done anything wrong - just have to have had somebody who didn't like you at some point in your life hint a few things for your "raw" file and that can be published by a willing press all over the country - and then it is all over for you by the time you are drinking your next cup of Starbuck's coffee and considering what to do about it. Not many will risk that by "demanding answers". If the details are colorful (salacious) enough, they will be repeated and believed no matter what the truth is. LIVNLRNWHATEVER
