"...you have no compassion"

If you define compassion as "enslaving people by making them totally dependent on never-ending hand-outs from their government -- and therefore "beholdin" to the political party that drops them a few bread crumbs", then you're absolutely right -- I have no "compassion". (This is what I call plantation politics -- a philosophy borrowed from the cotton-growers in the pre civil-war era -- and I naively thought Lincoln ended all that nonsense.)

But if you define "compassion" as doing things like donating a day each week to the "Big Brother -- Big Sister" program, for the purpose of helping a kid develop his self-esteem and learn to grow into a free-thinking independent adult -- then yes -- I have "compassion".

In your simple mind, you probably think a zoo keeper is "compassionate". But the zoo keeper is always careful to close the door on their cages, isn't he? Why? Because he knows what the animals REALLY want -- their freedom.

And that's the same thing people want -- their freedom -- not hand-outs.

PS -- I want you to know, I think your a fraud.

1. You sound a little too naive' to have ever made $400K in one year.

2. In one message you claim to use accounting trickery to AVOID paying taxes...(and yet you want ME to pay MORE taxes?!!!)

3. Then, in another message, you claim to "drive less, speed less, and wear a sweater to bed" in the name of conversation"?!!!

C'on, gimme a break -- this just doesn't "add up". I think you're probably just some still-wet-behind-the-ears "do-gooder" -- probably a liberal arts major -- trying to drum up support for Gore.

However, I'm NOT surprised to see this being done in a bogus manner -- it's almost a Democratic trademark.
