As I recall 1998 the market was pretty crummy from June to October and as I was moving from SC to CA, I believe the market bottom was somewhere between 20-23 October, perhaps we are nearing the same turning point again, 2 years later. It was a nice bounce through December in small caps and my small model registered 168% gain in 99 without a single big cap or internet stock. I know there were bigger gainers, but the same model is still up over 70% in 2000 and not being pulled down by the internets or big caps either.

For myself I did buy a little NVLS today at $31 as I think it is still a great stock in spite of the bearish analysts.
