James,
I am an E.R. doctor at a busy Midwestern Hospital. Saw the program spot on T.V. the other night about dermabond, the glue for closing wounds. I agree with their analysis that at least 33% of wounds could be closed with this stuff. We have been waiting for years for this stuff to get throught testing and out on the market. I have been searching for the company that produced this product since I saw the program. This glue is going to be in every emergency room within one year of hitting the market. Pros: PAINLESS...(parents will demand it for their kids). No suture holes. No introduction of bacteria into skin.
equal to better results cosmetically. QUICKER! time is money and convenience to patients.
Cons: Can't be used on all cuts. Must be clean non jagged cuts on non stretch areas of skin. Otherwise no contraindications.
Can be used on deep wounds, lower layers closed with suture, skin closed with glue.
I really feel this product will bring $$$$ to this company once approved and hitting the street.
