Pagoo Opens New European Headquarters; Company Appoints Industry Veteran as General Manager; Company Establishes European Hub to Meet Demands of International Customers
SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 18, 2000--Pagoo Inc.(TM), a leading provider of comprehensive IP-based voice application software and services, today announced the opening of its European headquarters in London and the appointment of Andy Middleton as General Manager of European Operations.
Middleton, a 15-year telecommunications and Internet industry veteran, will head up the European office, which will serve as the hub of Pagoo's growing international business of offering quality voice over the Internet technology and services to communication service providers worldwide.

This announcement comes two months after Pagoo announced a partnership with Tiscali, a leading European ISP. Pagoo provides the Italian Internet service provider and telecommunications company with complete Voice over IP services, enabling Tiscali to deliver a wide range of Internet phone services under the Tiscali brand. By teaming with Pagoo, Tiscali is able to offer its more than two million customers the ability to make and receive calls over the Internet, as well as manage their communications with voicemail and call forwarding.
With a career in telecommunications and the Internet-related industries that spans three continents and more than a decade, Middleton joins Pagoo from Alpha Telecom where he served as Managing Director. He has also worked for MCI WorldCom, holding several executive positions, including Director of Wholesale and Internet Sales and Marketing Director of the Gemini Cable System, Worldcom's $500 million high-speed undersea cable project.
