This Bruce Brown stuff has gone far enough. We must get to the bottom of this before the scandal spreads like a virus over every discussion thread, with post after post questioning if the guy is real.

I realize it is a distasteful duty, but I volunteer to go to Vienna and determine if he in fact is a real person. To do so however, I will need help. So I'm setting up a fund for your contributions. I will use the money to establish a base in a five star hotel in Vienna and I 'll skulk around the opera houses, coffee shops, and Charles Schwab offices in pursuit of this ghost.

My friend Fred Manzo will collect and administer the funds. I trust he will provide me with an equitable proportion after taking out his administrative fee.

PS did anyone watch the debate last night? I heard that it was raining after it was over and as the candidates were leaving George W. asked for an umbrella. Apparently Mr. Gore just lost it. He went into a rage saying: "This is an area where we have huge differences. Umbrellas are a tool of the richest 1%. The richest of the rich own and control most of the umbrellas in this country. And in fact, when I was at a Texas umbrella factory yesterday I learned that Texas is 49th of the 50 states in terms of umbrellas per capita. Yes, it is at the bottom. Texas children are getting wet, while fat cat oil men are staying dry. It's just not fair. I pledge that if I am elected your President I will make it my first order of business to buy a raincoat for every one of the people in the bottom 99% in this country. We will no longer need umbrellas, and when we see one we will know that the person under it is the richest of the rich - and we can spit on them."

Or at least I think that's what he said. Or did Bruce-bot say it.

PS2 - since my investment career is stalling as the markets crash I thought I would move into the comedy field. I hear it worked for Dr. Id.
