I worked for planned parenthood in college as part of my health sciences experience- and you know what? We didn't counsel women NOT to keep there babies. What we actually did was treat a lot of venereal diseases. Women come to planned parenthood and other clinics because their mind is made up and they WANT an abortion. They are told the options- they are not FORCED to have abortions. They come on their own for their own personal reasons.

Despite what you think, the clinics I have experience with don't counsel the women either way- they lay out the options for her, and they respect her wishes. Clinics are providers of reproductive services to women- they are not advocates. They are not there to advocate FOR abortion or against it. Of course the PARENTS were another story- they often wanted the abortion for their daughters (who might have wanted to keep their babies)- but is it the state's business to interfere in that relationship? That's a tough call.
