Well, do your due diligence. We have a population that likes to live on the dole; native indians whose claims for damages against the government and the churches will cost every Canadian dearly and may bankrupt the Anglican church, at least; native land claims that are going to cost us billions if not trillions of dollars; a military that is basically non-existent; a national debt that is higher than Mount Logan (our highest mountain which the Liberals want to rename Mount Trudeau for Gawd's sake); a population that is spread out such that transportation companies and airlines can't make a buck; a government that wants to take away our guns; a socialist mentality; laws that give more rights to animals and criminals than they do to victims; blah, blah, blah...

Maybe you can use us as a penal colony, and all the criminals can come up here and drain our pockets before the government does.
But in all honesty, I think it wouldn't be a bad thing.
