Therefore, either you don't really believe it, or you are being irrational when you say that you do. Which is it?

The more I study physics the more I have come to believe that these kind of either/or situations don't exist except as artificial constructs where assumptions are made and accepted as true. As I've pointed out, there is a limit to rationality. Goedel showed us that. The first case you offer is essentially a loaded question. The answer to that is "No matter whether I believe it or not, there are others that believe other things and have every right to claim they are right as I am."

One of the greatest physicist/philosophers of the last century, Einstein, developed a view of the Universe that was called relativity. Relativity is an understanding that where you are (and what you are doing) in the universe dictates what you see. Sorry but Professor Wood is wrong.

Hermetic belief is an ego centric view of the universe that dictates that your perception of the universe dictates the quantitative nature of the universe.

If your view of the universe is viewed through a distorted, relativistic lens how can you not have a morality that is distorted through that lens. Is not morality the perception of actions and consequences? If the very things that we perceive are relative, how can we know in some absolute way what the impact and "goodness" of the acts are?

Buddhist philosophy addresses this as a process that you aim for but have no real hope for attaining in the absolute. Certainly not while having an Earthly manifestation. Good and Bad largely depend upon the viewer. Is insect spray bad? Not if YOU have ants but if you are an ANT, maybe it isn't so hot. That is moral relativism in action.
