I disagree with you. What most conservative I know don't like about opening their wallets is the fact that the govt is there poking their fingers into it. Who said that volunteerism should be discouraged in favor of sate welfare systems???? What happened to the old concept of community spirit and support???? What happened to volunteer agencies???? Were they discouraged by exhorbitant taxes??? Why the misconception that govt has to be the answer to our problems??? What if we don't pay them, to breed, but pay them to kill instead???? I think most conservatives would prefer to put support money into organizations that are based on volunteerism rather than having their tax dollars dispensed by a govt agency that supports the politically correct flavor of the day. Govt mismanages money....why on earth would one think they wouldn't mismanage lives?
