LG:

The fundamental reason for TERN's demise is that it
is targeting an ever shrinking market: non-HFC
upgraded cable. Since most of the US cable plant
will ultimately be upgraded, TERN's opportunities are
limited to undercapitalized MSOs in Asia, South
America or Europe. Management is rather seedy,
and the share price skyrocketed mainly because of
George Gilder's shameless hype (he will hype anything
that runs CDMA, independently of engineering merit).
Based on GG's recent cryptic comments on TERN, I
predict he will soon drop TERN from his list. His
style is to beat a hasty strategic retreat when it
looks like he has a blooper on his hands.
