Smart Voices and CYBeR-CARE Sign a Letter of Intent for the Purchase and Distribution of the Electronic HouseCall System in Puerto Rico
BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.--(BW HealthWire)--Oct. 18, 2000--CYBeR-CARE (Nasdaq:CYBR - news) and Smart Voices have entered into a Letter of Intent for the purchase and distribution of the Electronic HouseCall(TM) System, an Internet-based technology that remotely monitors individuals in their homes for medical purposes.
Under the Letter of Intent, Smart Voices will purchase from CYBeR-CARE a total of 6,000 EHC units (all models) over the next two years at 250 units per month to maintain exclusivity within Puerto Rico commencing Dec. 1, 2000 with the models EHC400/600. The parties also plan the co-development of new products, and enhancements to network applications. The agreement provides Smart Voices the ability to sell CyberCare products in Puerto Rico with the market expansion to include the Caribbean, Latin America, and other countries based on performance measures.
