I see the difference between CMTN and EFNT as this: CMTN was selling DSLAM's to CLEC's like hotcakes for a year. Most of the CO's that cover the big populations are covered now and several CLEC's even overlap quite a bit. Now that the DSLAM's cover most of the population, it is time for the DSL modems to sell to fill up all those DSLAM's capacity. I see it as a positive for EFNT / WSTL. The 3,000 - 7,000 new customers a day at SBC alone speaks volumes to the DSL demand. The big push in my opinion is the CPE side and the DLC remote boxes to get the remaining customers and to get VDSL speeds to more people.
